Privacy policy. Little data, plainly explained.

Principle

We process personal data sparingly and only as far as necessary to operate, secure and improve this website. The revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) applies and, where relevant, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not sell data, run no advertising tracking and build no personal profiles for advertising purposes.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary, functional cookies only — no tracking or advertising cookies. That is also why this website needs no consent banner. Specifically:

• Display preference: stores your choice between light and dark appearance so the site renders correctly straight away on your next visit. Lifetime up to 12 months.
• Session cookie: a technical cookie that lasts only for the duration of your visit and expires when you close the browser. It keeps the requests of one session together.

You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser settings. The site keeps working; only your saved display preference is lost.

Server logs and reach measurement

When you visit our website, we record and store technical details on our own servers in Switzerland in order to keep the service running, prevent abuse and understand which content is used. This reach measurement runs entirely on our side; no third-party services are involved. In particular we record:

• the IP address and, derived from it, the approximate country of origin and internet provider,
• the date and time of access,
• the pages requested and the previously visited page (referrer),
• information about the browser and operating system used,
• which buttons and links on the site are clicked.

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning and measurably used website. The data is not shared with third parties and not used for advertising. We keep it for a maximum of 12 months and delete it afterwards.

Contact form

When you write to us via the contact form, we transmit the details you enter (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number and your message) to us by email. This data goes to ClearMedia AG only — no external form or marketing services are involved. We use it solely to handle your enquiry and keep the related correspondence for as long as is necessary to process it and answer any follow-up questions.

Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To protect the contact form against automated abuse, a verification feature from the provider Cloudflare ("Turnstile") may be used. To distinguish humans from bots it performs a technical check, in the course of which your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare. Cloudflare is a specialised security provider; the basis is our legitimate interest in spam protection. Further information can be found in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

No external content and no third-party tracking

This website loads no Google Analytics, no external fonts (web fonts), no map, video or social-media embeds and no content from third-party CDNs. Apart from the spam protection mentioned above, no connections to third-party servers are made when you open the pages.

Your rights

Within the scope of applicable data protection law you have the right to access the data we process about you, as well as to its correction, deletion or restriction. You may also object to processing. To do so, contact the address above or info@clearmedia.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Data transmission on this website is encrypted (HTTPS).

Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The current version published here is the one that applies.

Binding version

This English privacy policy is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the German version is the legally binding one.
