Private cloud, hosting, colocation and backup, almost everything we offer runs on our own hardware across two geo-redundant Swiss datacenters. Connected over our own network AS49489 and encrypted end to end between the sites with MacSec AES-256.

Whoever resells others' cloud knows the datacenter only from a datasheet.

Through our autonomous system AS49489, both sites connect to three independent uplink partners and over a hundred direct peerings at SwissIX, short, direct paths within Switzerland and a redundant, high-performance link to the international internet.

Two sites, one platform

Geo-redundancy is not a surcharge, it is the foundation.

ZRH-01 in Zurich City and ZRH-02 in Zurich Ruemlang are over ten kilometres apart, far enough for genuine geographic redundancy and close enough for synchronous replication under one millisecond over dark fibre. If one site fails, the other keeps running, without anyone noticing.

Our model

We rent the floor space. The technology inside is entirely ours.

In both datacenters we rent only empty racks together with power and cooling. Every server, every storage system, every switch and every firewall inside belongs to ClearMedia, no shared appliance, no third-party management layer.

We rent only empty racks together with power and cooling in two Swiss datacenters. All the hardware inside, from servers and storage to routers and firewalls, belongs to ClearMedia. We do not resell others' cloud, we operate our own platform.

AS49489 is our own autonomous system, our network on the internet. Through it we connect via three independent uplink partners and over a hundred direct peerings at SwissIX, including major international networks such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Cloudflare, Akamai, Hurricane Electric, Sunrise and Salt. The network is RPKI signed and publicly verifiable, for example on PeeringDB or in the looking glass at bgp.he.net/AS49489.

Over dark fibre with a latency under one millisecond. All communication between ZRH-01 and ZRH-02 is encrypted end to end at layer 2 with MacSec AES-256.

Power, cooling and network are designed redundantly, and maintenance is possible without interruption. Individual components may fail without operation stopping.

No. Both sites are located in Switzerland, operation is by Swiss engineers, and the data location in Switzerland is contractually assured.
